The OverKast update you have been waiting for!!!

September 5th will begin the 1st day of recording on our 1st full length cd. We will be working hard through September to get it recorded and mixed as far as we can and should have studio updates and vids as well. The bill will be a heavy one for us so if anyone feels like donating money we will mark you down for 1st dibs on the song downloads. Just let us know and we will give you the paypal info you can send money to. We have a few old songs coming with us as well as a host of new material so we think you guys will love what you hear. Once Believe is finished and mixed we plan to try and get it to radio as well as shooting a music video for it as well. Thanks to everyone for sticking around for 2 years and believing with us. We are just getting started. Stay with us OVERHEADS!!!

 We Need Lead Guitarist ASAP!

  What we are looking for is below. None of this is judgemental or rude we just get tired of not being clear enough and wasting the time of yours and ours. If you fit well send us an email or a call. We are going for the melodic hard rock sound of bands like Seether, Daughtry, Hoobastank, 12 Stones or Alter Bridge (But) mixed with the harder hitting rhythmic sounds of Breaking Benjamin, Skillet or Three Days Grace. Some old demos and live videos are on our websites. All our newer stuff is incredible so you need to hear us in person to get the full idea. We begin recording our 1st real cd in a pro studio in september so we need a quick learner.

What we DO need:

1. Ability to play catchy melodic solos as well as some faster ones where needed.
2. A Christian (We all are)
3. Willing to play Christian as well as Non-Christian venues. Even homeless shelter type ministries and things of that nature.
4. Someone who can reherse and give us 2-3 days a week with the ability to tour if the funds are there to allow it. THIS IS A BIG ONE!!
5. Someone who is a stable solid Studio/Live performer.
6. Must enjoy a very close knit family type band. That is what this is all about. Wives are close, we have bbq's and things like that.
7. You should have no issues with learning all the songs that are waiting and creative enough to add great ideas and write with us.

What we DON'T need:

1. A Guitar Hero. We don't want any 80's van halen or steve vai type stuff. We are not a metal band and will never be so if our style does not interest you don't make yourself play it :) We play more simple riff/groove/melodic type modern hard rock.
